So I was watching Yo Gabba Gabba with Abby this morning and thought this little snipet was cute. I am actually not a big "Gabba" fan, but this sure beats Barney's "Clean up, clean up everybody everywhere" ( I NEVER liked that song!)

Can't blog.... reading
So I offered to host our Enrichment "Book Nook" for March. I am NOT a reader for a few reasons.
A- I don't usually enjoy reading, I don't have much of an attention span.
B- I hate wasting time on poorly written books
C- I read painfully slow... I like to think I am a "deep reader" :-) Honestly, I really do think about what I read to try and discover the hidden meanings and bits of wisdom in a book.
D- If I do find a book I like to read, I read it to the exclusion of all else. Not a good situation for the state of my house.

I hesitated offering to host as it meant I needed to read the book. When I looked at the calendar on Tuesday and realized that "Book Nook" is next Tuesday I decided I had better get my butt in gear. I picked up "Kite Runner" Tuesday night around 8 and am over half way through. It is a compelling book, well written, and I am enjoying it.
Have any of you read Kite Runner?
What did you think?
Any thoughts to bring up at my discussion group Tuesday?
Anyone seen the movie?
No spoilers though!! I am not finished yet!
Gotta run, gotta clean the house for another enrichment meeting tonight, get Abby off to swim lessons, and hopefully get in a chapter or two of Kite Runner.

Bureau of Communication

I saw these official communications on a cute blog called http://www.howaboutorange.blogspot.com/, and I thought they were hilarious. Check out the online Bureau of Communication and send out your own fill-in-the-blank correspondence. Choose from a variety of forms, including Unsolicited Feedback, Airing of Grievance, Formal Apology, and Acknowledgement of Occasion.
So fun!

Skating Wrap Up
It is amazing how much they have improved since they started. Samantha could barely make it around the rink holding on to the rail when she first went skating this year, now she is doing a great job making her way around the rink and is pretty speedy at that! Elise and Ethan also passed Level One and have started skating backwards and have really improved, even trying a little arabesque. Abby was a trooper and went from skating on Bobby skates (2 blades) earlier this year, to making her way around the rink on regular skates, spinning around and everything! They all did a great job!
Samantha convinced me at the rink that I had already taken video of the big kids skating, but I didn't. I just have this one of Abby. I'll have to catch the big kids another day I guess.
