Nothing

On Wednesday the 8th, around noon, I left to go to Calgary for my mom's wedding. I spent the next 9 hours ALONE either in the airport or on the plane. My mom picked me up from the airport and we had a good chat that night. The next morning my mom had to go to work, so I decided I just wanted to stay at her place and be ALONE and do NOTHING. It was great! For the most part, until I got home late Sunday night I was without an agenda or anything pressing to do. I had left Brad with the kids and had only myself to worry about. It was WONDERFUL! I was surprised by how many hours are in a day when they aren't packed and full of responsibilities. I am sure I would not last long living that lifestyle, but it sure was nice to have a little break.

I am waiting for pictures from the wedding before I blog about that... coming soon :D

Brad took the kids to "the coast" for the weekend while I was gone and I will get him to post about that soon as well.

Have you ever had a weekend away with "nothing" to do?

We got booed

Monday night we got "Booed."
(no I was not with it enough to take a picture of our basket of goodies- but this picture is a good representation of a Boo)

You likely do this in your neighbourhood, but I hadn't experienced it until we moved here.

The idea is that you create a Halloween treat/basket and leave it on a neighbour's doorstep with a poem instructing them to do the same for 2 other people, ring the bell and hide. In an effort to keep families from being "booed" multiple times, a ghost is placed in your window to let others know you've already been in on the fun.

The kids LOVE doing this! They really think it is such a hoot... and it is.

Funny thing is though, the other night we were out trying to be sneaky and "boo" some friends of ours, only to find that another family was going to the same family at exactly the same time!! So funny! I don't think we were too secret as 6 kids left down the street running into 3 different cars. LOL! Very fun!
If you haven't already, start the tradition in neighbourhood. It is Super fun!!
Here is a cute copy of the poem and a ghost for the door

Don't Stop Believin'

Last night's comeback was AMAZING! The Sox were down in the series 3 games to 1, making tonight a must win, or they would lose the series. Having lost miserably the last 2 games when I checked on the game tonight and the sox were down 2-0 in the first inning I didn't even sit down to watch the game. We ate supper, cleaned up, bathed the kids and saw the score was 7-0 in the 7th, then the amazing happened... they came back to win the game!! It was so awesome!!
You likely know I am a huge Jacoby Ellsbury fan, who is unfortunately in a slump right now, and hasn't played the last 2 games, but he has a blog which is fun to follow. He blogs after each game! Check it out!
Any fan of the Red Sox will also appreciate this fun video

You won't want to miss Saturday's game at 5pm PDT!!
