Ward Talent Show '08

Tonight was our ward talent show. While we were not the most talented there by far, Brad and I gave it our best.
The Relief Society Presidency put on a couple skits.

Helga and Olga

The bishopric, exec. sec. and clerk did the finale. Brad's knees gave it their best shot too. It was really fun.

Celebrity Lunch

This morning I told Samantha she had an orthodontist appointment at 11:30 and I would pick her up at school. Surprisingly she never put 2 and 2 together to figure out I was taking her with me to my free lunch with the DJs.
It was SO much fun! The DJs even asked Samantha "on air" how she liked her lunch at Pepe's. So she got on the radio.
Dave and Bryon were so nice and just as funny in person as they are on the radio.

I really can't express how fun this was for me. Samantha even said it was better than if she had gone to lunch with Miley Cyrus (Hannah Montana)!

Flashback Friday- Summer 1994

One of these things is not like the other...
Aren't we a good looking bunch?
I can't believe how young I am here! They allowed me to get married?

This is one of my favorite pictures of "the boys"
I think Curtis is only 15 in this pic! Wow! I've been around a long time!

Brad's dad is a fisherman, and so our "family" summer vacation in 1994 meant a fishing trip to Yellowstone with Brad's brothers and dad, and many nights of playing spades :-)

I feel so lucky to have been able to get to know Brad's dad and brothers better on our fishing trips, something my sister in laws haven't been able to do as the family dynamic has changed and we are a lot more people now. It was fun being with "the boys", kindof like a fly on the wall, just watching the boys being boys.

Who IS Kevin?

You may have noticed the cool slideshow pics I added to my blog last week. The pictures were taken by my cousin's husband, one of the nicest, kind, generous people you will ever meet. He has recently started a hobby in photography and has an amazing talent for it. Thanks for sharing Kevin! You can find more of his photography at http://www.flickr.com/photos/kevinloganphoto/

WOO HOO!

If you know me, you know I listen to the radio ALL THE TIME! Since moving to Bend we have been listening "The Peak" and have chased down free Jamba Juice for the family (twice) , free "gourmet" hot dog meals for the family, and won a $30 gas voucher as part of different promotions.
Today was SUPER exciting because I won FREE lunch for me "and a friend" to Pepe's with Dave and Bryon on Friday. I entered their online contest last week and unfortunately missed their call this morning, as I was on the other line, so my answering machine got "on air" instead of me. I'm so sad I missed my moment of fame <:_(

Now I have to find a friend to go with me!

Happy Birthday Mr. Presidents

To celebrate we went and visited Brad at work to share lunch together. The deli at the hospital here is soooo good!

Then the kids spent the afternoon outside playing wall ball, blowing bubbles, riding bikes and playing with the neighbours. I can't believe it is Feb 18th and my kids were outside without jackets on! Yea!

Tonight we went to "Family Swim" which is always a fun time. Elise, Ethan, Samantha & Brad played some water volleyball.

Geronimo! Who's that hunk swinging on the rope?

Did you do anything fun for Presidents Day?

Ski Bunnies

Aren't these 2 little ski bunnies cute?

It was $15 LDS night ski again last Saturday. Brett and Abby were so cute. They couldn't wait to ski together! It was so fun to watch them.
The skiing wasn't great as it was icy, but it was a beautiful warm moonlit evening. One of the slopes was beautiful because there wasn't any electric lighting, just moonlight, it was so pretty. Ethan and Brad's rear ends are a little worse for wear, but who can complain for the price??

We thought this huge snow wall in the parking lot at the ski resort was pretty cool. They have had so much snow the bottom of the lifts are dug out of the snow, and the lift at times is so low to the ground they have had to block off the area to skiers beneath the lift.

Another Sunday Drive

Ok, so this isn't my picture, because I didn't have my camera. But, this is just what we saw crossing the road in front of us on the way home from church today- 4 mule deer. Pretty cool!
