Music to my ears?

Finger nails on a chalkboard... the squeak of styrofoam on cardboard... the sound of a rake across a rock, all send chills up ones spine. Something close to that irritating to me is music played incorrectly, or more specifically my children practicing the piano and playing it wrong! Something about the same piece of music being played over and over and over again, and then it being played incorrectly drives me BATTY!

I know I swore to everyone when we got rid of our old piano that I was going digital so my kids could plug in the headphones and I wouldn't have to hear it, but I succumbed to a "real" piano. There is just something about a real piano that is hard to duplicate. I thought I'd share a pic with you of our new baby.
Now when you hear the cries of "serenity now" you will know from whence the plea is coming.

I love it! I can't wait to buy a new piano someday!

p.s. I just caught up on your blog after being gone for 10 days, so there might be some comments from me pretty far down!

That's great Tracey. I still swear I am going to learn to play someday. I love the sound of a piano playing throughout the house. Who plays in your house? I remember Sam playing me a song a long time ago. Did she stick to it?

If I hear Jingle Bells one more time, I will definitely need 'serenity now'!

Oh, stay home from the ward talent show then. Wyatt is insisting on playing a song from Phantom of the Opera which is all high notes. I'm still pleading with him to play Devil Went Down to Georgia, no matter how sacriligious it may be because at least it's lower and mid range notes. Everyone bring your ear plugs. This was your fair warning!

I agree I love the real deal too. Greg is taking lessons this year and I have had to leave the room so I don't yell center C Greg, or watch your fingering Greg. The funny thing is I'm that great at playing but am the brutt when it comes to Greg learning to play. it was great to have you visit my blog. I took at look at yours this afternoon, it was wonderful to see your kids, they are a great group of good looking kids. It's nice to catch up with people who I grew up with. There are really no childhood memories without the Cook family apart of them.
