Tiny Abby

In preparation for our trip to Disney I have been researching on the internet to be sure we make the most of our trip. In doing so I found that for Abby to be able to go on some of the "cooler" rides she would need to be 40 inches, and I have heard they are sticklers about height. I quickly had her stand up against the wall. Dang! Just over 39. So today we set out to get her some shoes with a nice thick heel in them and here they are.

The moment of truth...

Yeah! She made it!

Also to get ready for our trip we needed to get some summer clothes for the kids. Isn't this sad? These are the shorts I got for Abby. She's going into Kindergarten in the fall and wearing 2T shorts!

I did the exact same thing for Theron last year. He barely made the cut too. They are sticklers about the height. Good thing for thick sole shoes for the little ones.

So funny. Remember when you made fun of my tiny kids.... :-) You guys are going to have so much fun! I am so glad that you found BIG shoes. As long as they aren't like my IKEA, they made Tori take off her shoes and measured her and said she couldn't come in the play land after we just measured her with shoes on and told her that she could. RUDE! Yeah for big soled shoes!

So exciting you guys are going to Disneyland!!! That is seriously one of my favorite places ever, you guys are going to have the best time ever! Especially since everyone can go on the "cool" rides! That is so smart to get her big shoes like that. I am so excited for you guys to go!

Okay, how did you NOT tell me you're going to Disneyland?? We are Disneyland experts/fanatics! Especially Jeromy. He even reads this website called Mouse Planet every week. How many days are you going? Have you been before?

We did the same thing with the shoes for James on our last trip. I don't think he would have been tall enough without the tall shoes we bought him. They measured him about 20 times per day, so just be prepared for that, and teach her to stand up to her full height. Have fun!

Christie: That is just stupid about ikea re-measuring her. I can't believe they did that- LAME!

Becky: This is our first family trip to Disney ever!! Brad and I went just after we were married with his brothers, so it has been a long time. When I realized Abby was too short I think it was from reading your blog I got the idea for the shoes... thanks!

ALL: Do tell and send all tips and tricks. We were going to do the 3 day pass, but it is only $13 more per person for a 5 day, so I think we'll be able to take it a little easier with so much time. Brad insists he doesn't want to go 5 days though.

What a good idea...I would never thought of it. We have been waiting for Lucas to understand things more so we can take him to Disney. Have fun!!!

We took our kids about four years ago,They had a blast,I have no tips cause I'm sure they have changed things up since then. Have fun Alina and Greg still talk about it.I would do the five day pass so that you can enjoy it and that way you don't have to bee there all day you can do a morning or evening. No matter what you do you will have a blast...
