You all know what a radio junkie I am and a few months ago I won an auction for a nights stay at Sunriver Resort and a massage at the Spa. It expired the end of June, so we made reservations for Friday, June 6th for a vacation from our vacation. :D
Brad thought it would be fun Friday morning to start our weekend with a bike ride. He thought it was fun- not me (for the most part). Don't know if you've heard but it has been sooo cold and windy here, (I had on a long sleeve shirt, my bike shirt, and a jacket with my winter leggings) and that's what we were riding in along with some sleet... just for fun. We DID see a buck on our ride which was pretty cool.

Friday after the kids got home from school we took them to their respective friends and Brad and I enjoyed a nice dinner together out at Sunriver. Sunriver is only about 20 minutes south of Bend, but we felt like we were a million miles away.
The room had a wonderful view and a fireplace in it. This was the view out the window. I think that should we get another house I would really like a fireplace in my bedroom! We only wish it had been warmer! In case you can't tell, the thermometer reads 38 degrees!!
Saturday morning we went for our massages. Brad had never been, so it was a new experience for him. He was pretty nervous about it, but I think ended up liking it in the end. Alas, all good things must come to the end and we picked up all the kids by 1pm Saturday. It was nice to get away though, even if it was for only 20 hours.

Wow, snazzy. I like the basket and the desert. MMM looks relaxing. every time I read about your radio adventures, I vow to start listening to the radio, never do it though. :-)
Looks like I had better start listening to the radio more often. That was so nice that you could get away like that. You mentioning Sun River brings back fond memories when we stayed there and were able to be with you and your family.
I bet your massage experience with Brad wasn't near as fun as your massage experience with me. Right Tracey? Don't you know you should always choose me for those type of things! LOL!
Glad you had fun...looks like a beautiful place. I love little getaways, even if they are short. So therapeutic!
Looks like it was a really neat place and a great get-away, Tracey. Too bad it was so cold - I would have expected it to have been warmer this time of year.
Is that a UFO you caught over the hill in the picture of the volcano? :-)
I understand it is not usually this cold and that this is strange weather. Someone told me that last year when the balloons went off at 6:30am it was already 75 degrees. I don't mind the cold so much as I will the heat.
The UFO is a swallow... there were birds all over the place. Luckily only one got close enough to freak me out :D
Very fun:)
What a fun little getaway.
I just looked at your Disneyland posts again because there was one I hadn't seen. And I wanted to relive your vacation again. Anyway, at first I was thinking you guys BOUGHT all those splash mountain pictures. But then I noticed the numbers are still on them so you must have taken pictures of the pictures. What a great idea!! We'll have to do that next time. They're SO expensive. We've never bought one, but we've been tempted.
